The 2024 election will be close. If we lose, the people who take over will use every lever of power to take us backwards to a time when women, people of color and LGBTQ+ people were second class citizens. We cannot go backwards. We cannot lose our rights to marry, to adopt, to live, work and love as our authentic selves.
Nearby Michigan and Wisconsin will be pivotal in the 2024 general election, an election that decides the future of democracy, and they will need our help to ensure a Democratic victory. Many in the Chicagoland LGBTQ+ community feel worried, discouraged or helpless to affect the outcome, because they aren’t sure how to channel their nervous energy! Enter Q FORCE, a grass roots, bootstrap group that has organized to recruit and activate at least 500 LGBTQ+ volunteers (whom we refer to as “superheroes”) for on-the-ground engagement, registration and turnout in support of Democratic candidates in these nearby places that will likely decide the national result.
