CHICAGO- Today, Q Force released the following statement:

We’re Here. We’re Queer. We’re Q Force. And… We’re Ready To Fight.

Dear Friends,

Today marks one year since the 2024 election. Over the past year, we have taken time to mourn, rage, and rest. Now it’s time to get the Q Force band back together.

In 2020 and 2024, Q Force brought together more than a thousand LGBTQ+ Chicagoans and allies to volunteer for Democratic candidates, up and down the ballot, in nearby Michigan and Wisconsin. The fact that we left it all on the field on Election Day, 2024 eased our gri

ef just a bit despite the disappointing results.

In 2026, necessity dictates we evolve into a bigger and broader Q Force that meets the challenges of the moment, to better serve the LGBTQ+ community and the community at large. And so, we invite you to join us again for Q Force 2.0.

Q Force 2.0

Starting on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, we will convene monthly meetings that will blend community building with education, empowerment, and action. We’ll talk together about what we want from Democrats and from America and how we can build back a progressive country. Sometimes, we’ll hear from candidates and skilled practitioners, but we’ll always hear from you. Together, we’ll also take action to fight back against authoritarianism and demand something better. And, at election time, we’ll turn back into an army of volunteers, deployed to strategically elect Democrats and defeat Republicans with our efforts.

We don’t have to sit in silence and watch our country crumble. We can and we must do something about it while we still have a chance. We can’t promise to have all the answers or to be a perfect antidote for what is facing us. Yet, we know that this is how change has always happened in this country–groups of people getting together who wanted to make their world a better place. The path forward is not to rely on one individual to take charge or to plan to win one election–it’s to build community and collectively act to effect change.

This is how we build power. This is how we fight back. And this is how we win.
